Presentation of the company
Paini Sistemi Italcaccia s.r.l. started his working in the sports ammunition sector at the end of the Second World War, with the quality of the products as the primary objective. Since the mid-seventies, not considering adequate to the tests to be performed on the equipment on the market, has started to produce such systems initially for the sole purpose of satisfying internal needs. Starting in 1980, the commercialization of these systems outside the company began with a range of products and services that has continuously expanded. Currently, after the sale of the ammunitions division's production activities in the course of 1995, the activities of the systems division are predominant compared to those of the ammunition division which continues to operate with the offer of consultancy services in the ammunition sector for industrial and special use. Our company is a supplier of entities headed by the Ministry of Defense for over 15 years; in addition to these supplies and those made to leading Italian and foreign companies we can count among our Customers numerous Universities and research centers.
Electronic Division & Systems (El.Si.)
The Electronics & Systems division (ElSi) covers with most mechanical systems, electronic and software, the spectrum of requirements related to quality control and research in the arms, munitions, propellants, explosives and ballistic protection sectors (bullet-proof vests and glasses). The basic systems are integrated with specific systems designed to control the ingestion of foreign objects (eg testing of turbine blades, etc.) and controls on materials (hardware & software). Another important activity of the ElSi division is that of engeneering where our company, working in collaboration with specialized partners, is able to provide a complete service on the design and construction of plants for the production and / or destruction of: ammunition, explosives and propellants.
The limited dimensions of our society allow us a great flexibility which translates into the power to personalize and / or develop ad hoc systems even not specifically in the defense field; in particular we can customize our high-speed data acquisition systems and vision systems for scientific applications. Our skills range from systems integration, to vision systems (even intensified), to robotized subsystems for hazardous processes, to process control. To complement our activities, the design is carried out on behalf of third parties to meet specific customer needs: examples of pipeline monitoring, automation of welding processes, testing and calibration of instrumentation for motor diagnostics).
The software produced by our company allows both the control of the individual processes and / or products and a complete integration of the control structure in a single customizable environment (SIGMA) that includes the P.I.M. (Product Information Management), management of historical archives, etc. Our applications can be configured to operate both on the local network and in the geographical and / or web network; all under various operating systems.
Our company devotes over 25% of the turnover of the electronic division to research and development, using the best available technologies to allow the user to have systems that are always up-to-date and compliant with your needs. Working in close contact with our ammunition division we have a direct feedback on reliability and on what is required for our systems that are long tested internally before being considered ready for sale to third parties.
Our design rules follow the dictates of the Design For Testability both to allow the rapid control of all the functional parameters before shipment and for an easy maintenance at the Customer. The test systems are designed together with the requested product and the control software is developed as an integral part of the operational one. Particular attention is paid, in the design phase, to the overall costs during the operating life (TCO) that are planned starting from the design phase.
Location
Our headquarters are located near the Po river about 35 km northwest of Parma; after the sale of the ammunition production unit, at our headquarters located in Vidalenzo di Polesine Parmense, mainly development, testing and systems integration activities are carried out;
Internal quality control
we have ongoing procedures to obtain the certification of our quality system according to AQAP 110 and 150.
